Our Client, one of the world’s leading breeders and merchants is seeking to appoint a Graduate Field Technical Assistant to be based in Scotland.

Reporting to the Field Technical Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production of controlled varieties in Scotland, working in close cooperation with experienced colleagues. Key to this role will be your ability to provide information and understanding on the varieties their differences  and characteristics, plan and deliver annual field trials in close collaboration with colleagues, support growers to manage their production requirements in consultation with the sales team in Scotland and coordinate complaint handling, reporting and settlements.

Desirable personal skills:

” Experience of field trials, working with a fresh produce crop (placement year)
” Crop production experience
” Excellent written and oral communication skills
” Fluent IT skills and experience of ERP and database systems
” Ability to demonstrate relevant HNC, HND or degree level qualification
” Proven ability to work independently and efficiently
” Contract negotiation skills
” An ability to work as part of a team
” Enthusiasm and commitment
