We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and pro-active Health & Safety Manager who will be responsible for managing and implementing the health, safety, facilities and technical aspects of the business. This fantastic opportunity will work in a successful Fresh and Ambient Food business who supply numerous lines to the foodservice and food processing sector.
The Health & Safety role will be based in South East London, with some travel to other sites in Kent. Reporting into the Managing Director you will be responsible for working with internal departments, on-site contractors and suppliers to implement the H&S policy and strategy across the company, providing expert advice across all issues. Devising plans to ensure the company exceeds statutory obligations and risk is adequately managed through a proactive H&S culture.
This role will co-ordinate, support and advise the Business on all aspects with regards to Health & Safety and re-present the Company on technical issues with customers and suppliers. The successful individual will also have an input into Facilities Management where you will build relationships with current service contractors and establish new relationships with suppliers and contractors.
What we are looking for;
- H&S experience within a Manufacturing / Warehouse environment is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of H+S law and statutory requirements.
- Good IT skills
- NEBOSH certificate is essential
- The ability to manage your own work load.
