Our Client is passionate about Fresh Produce, and successfully supply a high standard of product to the UK retailers. We currently offer an excellent opportunity for a Logistics & Stock Assistant to join the business at an exciting time of growth.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this position will ensure that all product arrival information, and stock levels are accurately added to the system to enable the business to forecast & plan in the most efficient manner. With the management of direct deliveries, this individual will also book & monitor all foreign transport to ensure planned deadlines are met, and ensure any changes to schedule are reported & relevant amendments are made to forecasting, costings, stock levels etc. Working closely with a wide range of contacts to include internal departments, clearing agents, third-party packers, hauliers etc., the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment is essential, and will require the ability to build & maintain a strong network of contacts & relationships. With responsibility for the review & sign-off of transport/logistics invoices, a thorough understanding across the department is key.

We require an individual who has ideally had some exposure to the Fresh Produce sector in a similar position. With excellent IT & Numeracy skills, the ability to use systems, spreadsheets, and multitask is key. Working previously in a logistics, forecasting, or stock control position would be beneficial, and would ensure consideration for this opportunity with a successful Fresh Produce supplier.

This position will work as part of a team, working 5 days out of 7, including either a Saturday OR Sunday.
