Our Client is one of the UK’s largest Importers and Distributors in their sector within the Food Industry, supplying a variety of customers nationwide, including the major retailers. We now offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Specifications Technologist / Technical Assistant to join the business in a key position.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, the Specifications Technologist position will take responsibility for all Product Specifications, to ensure all products received have raw, & finished goods specifications available, and customer technical specifications are completed through to approval stage, with the completion of pack-copy & artwork sign off. Attention to detail is key, with a thorough understanding of the technical processes & requirements involved with the supply of Food products. With responsibility for Bill of Materials (BOM), the ability to confidently use SAP is key.

We are seeking an individual from the Food sector (manufacturing and/or distribution), with previous experience in a Technical / Specifications position, and an understanding of web-based Specifications Systems such as TTL, Inspire etc., Bill of Materials (BOM’s), Artwork, and the importance of meeting the customer’s needs. The Technical function within the business is very much a ‘team’ based operation, and the successful individual will work with & assist technical colleagues to achieve the overall goals of the department.
