A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Fruit Buyer / Procurement Manager to join our Client, a unique and ever-expanding leader in the supply of quality Fresh Fruit to Retail customers in the UK. This exciting new Fruit Buyer role will become part of an established and successful team.

The position of Fruit Buyer will report to and work alongside the Procurement Director to provide support across the procurement function, with a key focus on fruit product ordering, product quality, shipment agendas and associated paperwork. This Fruit Buyer position will be integral to the team and will assist in managing the communication with suppliers both in the UK and Overseas effectively.

Requirements;

Exposure to the Fresh Produce sector, with an understanding of requirements within the Fresh Produce sector is essential

High level of professionalism and a confident approach, with the ability to communicate at all levels

Experience within a Supply Chain / Procurement / Buying position

An understanding of fresh produce production

Ability to work under pressure

Competent IT user to include Excel

This role requires an organised and pro-active individual, who is confident in a fast-paced and demanding environment, meeting deadlines and tight timescales.

Salary; competitive + Bonus dependent on experience offered

Hours; Monday to Friday

Driving licence is essential and the ability to travel to overseas

This role is commutable from Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Coventry areas

£25-35k DOE
