Overview
We have the privilege of working with an established and ever expanding Fresh Produce Group, who’s portfolio expands into horticulture, fresh prepared, chilled and frozen food products. We currently offer a fantastic opportunity as a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager.
Working at their new state-of-the-art chilled food facility in Cambridgeshire, this fresh food group are dedicated to packing a range of imported fresh food products for a major retailer. The new facility is expected to employ around 300 people.
Reporting to the Site Director, this role will be an ambassador for the site and ensure the company complies fully with all requirements of health, safety and environmental legislation. The role will establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems, across H&S and Environmental and be responsible for implementing health and safety procedures and ensuring compliance to ISO standards. You will lead the HSE culture on site & look to “challenge the norm” to ensure they are always improving and developing their business practices + The HSE Manager will act as the primary Company interface with the HSE, Insurance Companies and any other external agencies involved in H&S including ISO auditors.
To apply for this position you will need to be well versed in carrying out risk assessments, site audits, accident investigations, training, coaching and ensure company health and safety procedures are being adhered to across all environments.
We require;
NEBOSH certification
5+ years HSE management experience, in fresh produce and/ or food manufacturing
Experience with ISO14001 & ISO45001
Fully aware and have strong understanding of all applicable ISO standards
Led and perform site and factory audits.
Salary; up to £55k + Benefits
Location; Cambridgeshire
An independent role, you are required to lead the compliance with new and existing international and national standards, working closely with departments to implement and maintain effective processes and procedures.
