Overview

We have the privilege of working with a successful, driven and highly regarded Fresh Fruit Importer and Supplier and offer on their behalf the opportunity to join the business as Packaging Manager / Packaging Technologist in an initial 1 Year contract.

The position of Packaging Manager / Packaging Technologist will work closely with the Commercial and Buying teams, with responsibility for the full range of packaging related activities, to include;

Regular communication with growers across the globe, suppliers in the UK and 3rd party packers, with stock awareness, development, trials and innovation being key

Management of suppliers from tender stage through to selection and approval

Material and cost efficiency, reducing any expenditure where possible

Supporting teams packaging at source

We are seeking an individual who has worked with Food and/or Fresh Produce packaging and understands the demands, challenges and rewards involved. In return, the successful individual will gain the opportunity to work with a unique and successful business in a key role.

We require;

FMCG Packaging experience

Food and/or Fresh Produce exposure

Effective Supplier management ability

Strong communication skills, at all levels

Capable of prioritising, managing packaging projects and working to deadlines

This opportunity could suit an individual who has some exposure to the packaging sector, looking to develop, or a more experienced individual seeking a new and exciting challenge.

Salary; The salary will reflect the level of experience offered; £30-40k
