We currently offer a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Fresh Produce supplier, who are at the forefront of their product categories within the industry. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about the sector and seeking the opportunity to join an expectational business, who offer an impressive platform to develop a career within Procurement / Buying.
The opportunity of Junior Buyer / Procurement Graduate will report to an experienced Senior Procurement Manager, to work together and ensure all aspects of the supply chain are efficient and effective, building key relationships with growers, and providing key retail customers with the highest level of service and product possible.
Responsibilities include;
Manage and process orders, stock data, delivery notes, supplier reports & invoices as requested
Work with Supplier’s, with regular contact to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of product
Manage arrivals, ensuring up to date information is available and reports generated
Work with and support Managers to offer an efficient and proactive approach
This in an integral part of the team, and requires a driven & energetic individual who is seeking the opportunity to join a successful and fast paced business. This role offers the opportunity to work across many products within the Fresh Produce / Fruit sector.
We require;
Experience and/or placement within the Fresh Produce sector, with Food & FMCG sector exposure considered
Exposure to a Purchasing / Procurement / Buying / Supply Chain / Supplier focused position
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build key relationships
Proficient IT skills, with ERP system knowledge beneficial
Languages would be highly advantageous
Salary; £25-30k + excellent benefits offered; 10% bonus, pension, free gym membership, free breakfast and lunch
Hours; This position will work as part of a team, working Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday
