A market leader in their sector, our Client is an established and highly successful Fresh Produce service provider, working with an exciting portfolio of products that are destined for the UK retailers. We are currently seeking a Packaging Manager / Packaging Buyer to strengthen their position with customers at an exciting time of expansion.

The position of Packaging Manager will report to the Supply Chain Manager and will have overall responsibility for the procurement, scheduling, storage and issue of all packaging materials within site.  Full budget and stock management responsibility for all direct packaging and transit materials. This role will manage a team of Buyers, liaise with suppliers and take responsibility for stock management.

Responsibilities include;

Management of the team to ensure efficient ordering and call off with suppliers

Reconcile stock against the system / investigate discrepancies

Stock management, replenishment, and reporting results

Packaging procurement / Supplier management

Material and cost management

We require;

Packaging Procurement experience is essential

Food and/or Fresh Produce exposure
Effective Supplier management ability
Strong communication skills, at all levels
Confident IT & ERP System user, ideally Prophet

Capable of prioritising, managing packaging projects and working to deadlines

Salary; up to £60k + benefits
Location; Kent
