Overview

We currently have an excellent opportunity with an established Food Supplier, who are part of an international Food Group supplying the retailers. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager  on their behalf.

Reporting to the Technical Manager and working closely with all departments on site, the successful QA Manager will be responsible for ensuring the factory complies with legal requirements, food safety and HACCP procedures and specifications.

This role will effectively manage the day-to-day function of the quality team ensuring;

Products are manufactured in accordance with the required specifications and company Food Safety & Quality Policies

The Food Safety and Quality Management System is maintained / developed

Appropriate paperwork is produced to enable clear traceability and due diligence

Take immediate and appropriate action to address non-compliance to specification, in order to maintain product integrity, stopping the line if necessary

Requirements;

Strong supervisory skills

Experience in a food production environment

Excellent motivator, with clear communication at all levels

Good understanding of HACCP, BRC, hygiene and internal auditing

Food Safety Level 4 is preferred

BRC Auditing preferred

Environmental awareness

IOSH Managing safely is desirable however not essential

This is a great opportunity for an existing Quality / QA Supervisor to join a successful business and progress in to a QA Manager opportunity.

Salary; c£30-35k

Hours; Monday – Friday
