With offices worldwide, our Client is one of the largest independent importers in the UK within their sector, supplying the best perishable, short shelf life products to re-packers and the wholesale sectors.
The position of Head of Sales / Senior Trading Manager will manage an energetic & driven sales team of 6, with a varying customer base in Wholesale. Within the short shelf life arena, timing is key, and understanding the importance of selling product held in stock, is just as imperative as meeting customers’ orders placed.
As a Senior member of the team, this opportunity will report to Director level, and will manage the process of commercial and supply chain from the growers through to the customer portfolio. A hands-on approach; interfacing with customers, negotiating contracts, establishing processes, whilst managing and guiding the business towards its strategic goals, the successful individual will play an integral part in driving a successful business forward, offering the capacity of genuine long-term career opportunities to an ambitious, commercially astute individual.
Fresh Produce / Short Shelf Life exposure is essential
Experience in a Sales Manager / Trading Manager position, within the Wholesale Markets is essential. An encouraging & motivating management approach
Supply Chain knowledge, with a thorough understanding of the challenges and varying elements of supply to a varied customer base
Salary; £50-60k + Benefits
