Overview

We have the privilege of recruiting on behalf of a successful and ever-expanding leader within the Fresh Produce sector, who supply a varied portfolio of products to retail customers, achieving a high standard of product quality and availability across 12 months of the year. This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a senior level, in a fundamental position as Commercial Operations Manager.

The position of Commercial Operations Manager will work closely with company Directors and report directly to the Managing Director, becoming the bridge between operations and commercial, commanding daily knowledge of the business operations and retail customer requirements. With ownership of stock control, transport/logistics and customs, this position requires an individual to play a pivotal, cross functional role, developing and leading the company strategy with all stakeholders, to find improvements in processes and systems, helping to implement technology and driving a continuous improvement culture.

We require;
Experience gained within Fresh Produce, with a passion for the sector is essential

A highly experienced and commercially capable operations / supply chain leader

Commercially focused, with previous experience of retail supply chain management

Successful team management, with a positive, encouraging and development approach

Analytical, numerical, with the ability to use ERP systems

Transport/Logistics, Customs, and Stock Management is key to success within this unique opportunity.
