A market leader in their sector, our Client is an established and highly regarded Fresh Produce Supplier to the major retailers and catering & wholesale sectors. We currently offer an excellent opportunity to join the business at an exciting time of growth, to be based at their facility in Essex / North London.
The position of Stock Control and Logistics Manager is to lead the stock control team to deliver their objectives. This is the accurate and timely management of all inbound materials to control consistent flow of goods, preventing over or under loading. The management and flow of all goods in all storage, loading and usage locations to maximise space usage and minimise transit time. Manage the outbound flow of goods through goods out into customer vehicles to maintain full customer service at all time. In addition to this, the Logistics and Stock Controller is responsible for flow, capture and management of all data within the team, using this data to create high value insight.
Key responsibilities:
Leading, developing and managing the Stock Control team (4 in total)
Delivering an accurate, well planned stock management system throughout the site
Overseeing all produce and non-produce stock movement and allocation to maximise value
Actively manage stock data, using this data to create insights to improve performance
Advise and inform the procurement team of all issues as they arise with pragmatic solutions
Oversee inbound and outbound transport to manage flow to prevent over capacity situations
We require;
Strong management experience
Previous exposure in a Stock, Inventory role with a clear understanding of the flow and movement of stock
Experience in a Fresh Produce facility or Fresh Food Production environment
This role is working as part of the management team and requires a ‘hands on’ approach in a fast-paced, perishable environment.
Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm
Salary; £45-55k
Location: Essex/North London
A full driving licence is essential
