Overview

Our Client is an established Fruit supplier to the major retailers. With multi-sites across the UK, the position of Supply Chain Manager has been newly created, to be based at their office in the West Midlands.

This position will report to the Operations Manager but will also have regular contact at Director level. The newly created role will take responsibility for all supply chain at the West Midlands site, managing the department on a day to day basis and developing the overall supply chain strategy to include tendering contracts, implementing distributor changes and making recommendations on efficiencies. Working with and across all departments, to include Commercial, Procurement, Packhouse & Warehouse teams, the successful individual will be approachable, personable and professional.

Requirements;
Previous experience in a Supply Chain position with exposure to short shelf life/ just in time supply chains serving the UK Major Retailers
Fresh Food sector exposure is essential, due to the nature of the business
Planning, forecasting and database systems experience, ideally PR3
Advanced Excel skills
