Overview
Our Client is a Specialist Grower and Supplier of Fresh Produce to the major retailers, food processors and food manufacturers, with both whole fresh produce & prepared products. We currently offer an exciting opportunity to join the business at an integral time as Technical Manager.
The position of Technical Manager will become part of a passionate team, taking responsibility across the entire process and driving the technical agenda forward. Working closely with both retail and manufacturing customers, the position will focus on crops, seasonality, crop cycles, and availability, and will work closely with suppliers to compliment the successful management of product supply.
Responsibilities include:
Promoting and managing technical improvement
Developing and maintaining QMS systems
Management of Ethical compliance
We require;
Experience within the Fresh Produce sector is imperative
Technical management across site, customer, and supplier
Management of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems
Confident knowledge of BRC, management of 3rd party Audits / Supplier Audits
Knowledge of Grower & Farming practices, Red Tractor, IPM would be highly beneficial
Driving Licence; essential.
An appreciation of the supply to retail and manufacturing customers, to accompany a confident, practical approach to growing practices would be highly beneficial for success in this position.
Salary; up to £40k, dependent on experience + relocation assistance
