Overview

Our Client is a successful Fresh Produce Importer, supplying the major retailers with exceptional product from around the world. We are currently seeking a Technical Manager with a focus on packhouse and supplier audits.

Reporting to, and working with the Head of Technical, this role will take responsibility for supplier assurance, audits, and specifications to TMPS, TPPS, and TFMS standards. Liaising with Fresh Produce Growers / Suppliers, managing quality, and technical issues on a daily basis, this role will also assist in the management of due diligence, compliance, and SEDEX processes.

This role will manage the company’s expectations in terms of communicating and championing a fresh food product, growers, due diligence, site audits and ethics

We Require;

At least 2 years practical experience in a Technical / Supplier / Packhouse role

Lead Auditor

Ethical and environmental science knowledge

QC knowledge

Spanish (Advantageous)

Knowledge of TMPS, TPPS, and TFMS standards and previous exposure to auditing packhouses abroad is required. With strong communication skills, and a professional approach, the successful individual will benefit from global travel, and a challenging – yet rewarding role. This role requires frequent travel (at least 8 times a year) to packhouses/suppliers/growers, so commitment & drive is key to success.
