Our client is the UK’s leading food solutions business, supplying all major food retailers, wholesalers and foodservice companies with a wide range of quality products.

They currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Services Manager to develop and maintain site Quality Management Systems ensuring compliance to customer Codes of Practice, required standards and legislative requirements are met. You will manage external audit schedules and corrective actions systems and will represent the company during Site audits.

The Technical Services Manager will direct the team to maximise their potential in continuous improvement, utilising root cause analysis, delivering KPI reports and analysis and investigating trends.  You will be the technical expert on existing and forthcoming legislative requirements for the business and quality management system, including customer codes of practice and BRC global standard requirements.  You will also be an active member of the HACCP team supporting the HACCP team leader. You will be a member of the internal audit team and complete internal audits against the site schedule. You will liaise with the pest control contractors to manage all pest control activities across the site.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent , will hold a Level 3 HACCP, a Food Safety Level 2 and ideally a Food Safety Level 3 although this is not essential. With experience of working with high profile customers and retailers in a Technical/Quality Systems environment, you will have knowledge of customer specification writing and will be competent in Audit/Internal Audit close out.  You must however have previous experience of managing people, strong communication skills and proficiency of Microsoft Office.
