Location: West Sussex (On-site)
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per year + Excellent Benefits

As the Indirect Procurement Manager, you will take full ownership of the indirect spend function—driving cost-efficient purchasing strategies, leading compliance, and managing key supplier relationships essential to the business’s scaling operations.

The Role (Key Responsibilities)
In this pivotal role, you will align procurement strategies with broader business goals, managing everything from high-spend categories to essential compliance frameworks.
● Indirect Procurement Management: Lead the end-to-end procurement process for critical indirect spend categories (including Energy, Facilities, IT, Packaging, Transport, and Capex) to ensure maximum value and supplier performance.
● Category Spend Analysis: Interrogate spend data and supplier markets to identify high-impact cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
● Supplier & Contract Management: Build and nurture robust relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and robust SLAs.
● Land & Estate Management: Take ownership of land management tasks, collaborating closely with Planning and Estate advisors to ensure full legal and regulatory compliance.
● Environmental Compliance (ESOS): Partner with third-party consultants to manage and maintain the company’s compliance under the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS).

Who You Are (Requirements)
To thrive in this fast-paced, seasonal environment, you will bring a blend of commercial acumen, analytical rigor, and strong stakeholder management.
● Industry Experience: Proven experience in an Indirect Procurement role, ideally within FMCG, Agriculture, Food Production, or Manufacturing.
● FMCG Fluent: A strong understanding of the pace, seasonality, and nuances of a fast-moving supply chain business.
● Commercial & Negotiation Expertise: A proven track record of driving cost-saving initiatives and securing excellent terms with suppliers.
● Compliance & Project Mindset: Experience managing compliance frameworks (like ESOS) and driving process improvements across multiple departments.
● Qualifications: MCIPS/CIPS qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
