The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner looking for a role where your insight can genuinely influence operational performance, commercial decisions and business growth?
Our client is a rapidly growing and established Fresh Produce specialist, operating across multiple UK sites and generating revenues in excess of £100m.
As Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll work closely with the Finance Director and senior operational leadership, providing commercially focused analysis and insight that helps improve efficiency, protect margins and drive sustainable performance.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll be more than just a number-cruncher — you’ll be a trusted partner to the operation, challenging decisions and turning data into actionable business improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Business Partnering: Work closely with senior operational teams to provide financial insight, constructive challenge and support key business decisions.
Performance Analysis: Analyse performance by site, customer and SKU, identifying trends, risks and opportunities through Excel, Power BI and other BI tools.
Cost & Margin Management: Identify opportunities to improve cost recovery, reduce waste, protect margins and maximise revenue.
Operational Efficiency: Review labour, packaging and operating costs, using data to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Leadership: Lead, coach and develop two Finance Business Partners, ensuring consistently high-quality commercial support across the business.
What You’ll Bring:
Finance Expertise: Qualified accountant or qualified by experience, ideally CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
Business Partnering: Strong experience across finance business partnering, management accounting, operational finance, planning or commercial analysis.
Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, with advanced Excel capability.
Data Driven: Strong Power BI / Business Intelligence experience and the ability to turn complex data into clear commercial recommendations.
Commercial Approach: Confident working with senior stakeholders and providing constructive challenge to influence operational decision-making.
Leadership: Previous experience managing, coaching or developing finance professionals.
