Overview
Our Client is a unique Fresh Produce business, sourcing product to supply an alternative and exclusive product range to the UK market. Due to continued success and growth, we now offer the opportunity of Assistant Quality Manager to join the business and work with a co-packing partner to ensure a strong, positive, and successful relationship.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the position of Assistant Quality Manager will work closely with their sourcing and operations team and their co-packing partner to manage produce quality, shelf life and packing processes to ensure customers receive the best possible experience.
Key responsibilities;
Support the operations team in project work, testing, and trials
Become the main point of contact onsite on behalf of the company
Support, advise and work closely with the Quality Coordinator onsite
Assess raw materials and provide in depth quality assurance analysis
Undertake shelf life testing and contribute to supplier feedback and analysis
Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies and identify and develop processes to improve accuracy
Working closely with the co-packer to ensure a full understanding and compliance to quality, packing, and delivery procedures.
We require;
An experienced individual with a strong background in Quality Assurance / Product Management
Fresh Produce knowledge, with exposure to both Fruit & Vegetable products
The ability to confidently take ownership of product quality assurance
Exposure to QC reporting, sample testing, trials and shelf life
Knowledge of product technical & quality standards
Drive, passion and dedication is key for success in this position
This role is based at our Clients co-packing partner in the West Midlands, near to Birmingham.
Salary; Up to £35k, dependent on experience offered
Hours; Working 5 days out of 7
