Overview

Our client is seeking a Cost Accountant to join the finance team on a 6 month fixed term basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be based from their site in Suffolk.  Home working and Part time working could also be an option for this opportunity.

The successful candidate will be working on a project based around their Retail customer costing model, reviewing and updating where required taking into consideration cost inflation, movements in producing sites and capacities, production efficiencies, investment in the latest technology and automation and changes in the market and consumer tastes. This will involve scenario building and SI costing systems, breaking down the elements of the model and then documenting and communicating the changes and cost implications. You will actively work with the operational teams to identify and put a value to the any proposed operational changes and identify and quantify improvements on efficiencies and costs.

The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA), or experienced to a similar level. You will have specific experience in costing, ideally in an end to end protein supply chain. A hands on approach is essential as you will be required to work closely with operations teams to understand and review the relevant documents and processes. Being able to work on your own initiative you will be driven and focused on delivering objectives within agreed timeframes, be articulate and able to build effective relationships across all levels of the business. You will be able to clearly build and present businesses cases regarding your findings and recommendations, have project management experience and have excellent advanced excel skills.

This is a hands on role and the successful individual with monitor 2 sites within the Group.  Salary level c£60k Pro rata with additional Benefits.
