Overview

Our Client is a key Grower within the Fresh Produce sector, supplying Salad products to the major retailers. We currently offer a new position on their behalf as Crop Manager, to work within their growing division, offering a great opportunity to join a key player in the industry and become an integral part of the team.

 

The position of Crop Manager will report to the General Manager, effectively managing a team, and working across all stages of glasshouse crop production. The successful individual will be highly versatile, with a thorough understanding of the dynamics in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities include;

Achieve maximum production ability, with a key focus on product quality and agreed budgetary constraints

Ensure Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements are met

Maintaining HACCP, Pest & Disease monitoring

Manage staff recruitment and training

Generate work programs

 

We Require;

Encouraging and motivating team management

Experience within crop production / management

Knowledge of Priva environmental system highly advantageous

Ability to train in the developments in glasshouse crop production

Fresh Produce exposure, with salad products being highly advantageous

Tractor & Forklift licence

 

Salary; £28-30k + accommodation available
