Overview

Our Client is a highly successful Group working in the Fresh Produce and Horticulture arenas. We are currently seeking a Customer Technologist / Technical Manager on their behalf to manage retail customers within this dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Technical Director, the Customer Technologist / Technical Manager role is a challenging customer facing technical opportunity, working as part of the technical team to ensure that the company continues to drive business forward.

The successful individual will be interacting with retail customers, providing information, advice and developing key relationships. This will require well-developed communication skills, presenting internally & externally and directly contributing to management meetings on a regular basis. Having worked within the fresh produce / horticultural sector is essential.  Knowledge of overseas and UK suppliers, BRC and internal/external audits are key.

Essentially we require a technical individual with a commercial approach, familiar with technical requirements of retail accounts and a confident approach within the Fresh Produce sector. Ideally having worked with the top UK retailers, previous customer facing experience is key and a range of product experience within Fresh Produce and Horticulture will be considered. Graduates with a placement year in the fresh produce sector are welcome to apply.
