Our Client is a successful supplier of Fresh Produce to the Retail sector. As their partnership with their customer grows, they offer the exciting opportunity for an Ethical Sourcing Manager to join them in this new key position.

This role is at the heart of what they do; it is the key link between their growers for all aspects of ethical sourcing. It is critical that they establish excellence in this area to deliver industry leading standards and customer satisfaction.

The position of Ethical manager will lead in ethical trade, human rights and modern slavery strategies. This new position is of high importance within the business, with global awareness of individuals working to grow, pack and supply the world’s finest produce. Define policies, Implement programs, Raise awareness and work as an integral part of the team to ensure that everyone working in the supply chain of the group is treated in accordance to their high standards.

Working closely with suppliers, this position will;

Manage the Ethical audit programme alongside the technical team & colleagues

Lead/manage third-party responsible sourcing audits such as SMETA

Ensure suppliers meet customers codes of practice

Assess current ethical sourcing status 

We require;

Previous experience in a comparable Ethical Trade / CSR position

Knowledge of;

Ethical policies; Modern Slavery Act, SEDEX, SMETA

Human Rights / Ethical Trade / Corporate Social Responsibility

International Labour standards

Passion for relationship building internally

Confidence and drive to build relationships with suppliers

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work at all levels with an approachable manner

Languages would be highly advantageous

Travel will be required overseas, so a Driving Licence is essential.

Salary; £40-45k + Car & Fuel card

Location; South East of England / Kent
