Overview

Our Client is one of the World’s leading vegetable breeders and merchants working across the UK & Europe. An excellent Field Production Manager position has become available for an individual seeking a new opportunity that offers a combined field and office based role, working within the specialist arena of vegetable breeding. This role will be responsible for managing field production of high-grade seed and will play a pivotal role in continuing relationships with commercial growers.

Key responsibilities include;

Undertake annual reviews with growers and continue responsibility for creating and overseeing contracts and preparing negotiations.

Negotiating contracts annually with growers within Scotland.

Monitor crop development relative to the presence of pests and diseases.

Coordinate the recording, registration and submission of growing crop returns to industry bodies.

Requirements;

Crop production exposure with knowledge of potato seed and ware is highly advantageous

Agriculture and / or Horticultural experience

Ability to work confidently independently

Positive communication approach

Confident negotiation skills

A full driving licence is essential, with travel required to Growers in Scotland.

Location; Scotland; field & office based

Salary; up to £42k + Car & Bonus

Hours; Monday – Friday
