Our Client is an established Food Importer, currently achieving high levels of sustained growth across their category. We currently offer an exciting opportunity to join the Technical team as a Food Technologist.

 

The position of Food Technologist / Technical Assistant will report to the Technical Manager and will become a fundamental member of the technical team to ensure the technical compliance of an exciting array of chilled and ambient products. The position would suit an individual who is looking to build on the foundations of a technical career within food quality, and could also offer a wealth of opportunity to an individual who has some exposure as a QC or QA position and is now seeking a role that offers more technical focus going forward.

 

Key responsibilities include;

Work closely with the Site Technical Manager and assist to ensure technical compliance

Ensure inspected product meets specification and exceeds customer expectations

Assist to ensure the QMS, documentation, and certifications are maintained

 

We require;

A Food Graduate seeking a path to a technically focused career

HACCP, Food Safety, Auditing knowledge beneficial

Attention to detail and positive communication is key

Experience within a QC / QA position beneficial

Chilled Food experience advantageous

Ability to work in a chilled environment

Confident IT skills

 

Hours; Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Salary: up to £25k, dependent on experience offered

Location: Kent; free parking on-site and located near to train lines for public transport users
