Overview

Our Client is one of the country’s leading growers and suppliers of specialist crops to a range of high profile retail customers. An opportunity has arisen for a well organised and self-motivated person to join the company as Grower Manager.

Reporting to the Farm Manager, the position of Grower Manager / Grower will be responsible for growing a high yielding crop that meets the needs of retail customer specifications with minimum waste. Taking responsibility for the management of all growing elements to include; Crop husbandry, Irrigation, Climate, Budgets and Staff. The successful individual will be confident to achieve production targets & goals through the management of the cycle from plant delivery to harvest.

We require;
Experience of growing a commercial crop, ideally Soft Fruit, and exposure to modern irrigation systems
Hold Grower certifications; BASIS, FACTS, IPM (Integrated Pest Management) being advantageous
Excellent people management skills, with the confidence to communicate with colleagues at all levels

Experience of Budgets and Financial controls

A full driving licence is essential

Salary; £27-33k
Location: Berkshire
Due to the nature of the crop, we require flexibility on working hours.
