Our Client is a leading Grower of specialist Fruit crops and supply to a range of highly regarded customers across the UK. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual, who is passionate about the Fresh Produce sector to join the business as Growing Manager, taking responsibility for a high yielding crop that meets customer expectations.

Reporting to and working alongside the Managing Director of the farm, the Growing Manager will be responsible for growing product that meets the expectations of retail customers. This will incorporate crop husbandry, product quality assurance, and achieving production targets. The position is key to the success of the farm meeting tight deadlines and schedules set, with the effective management and harvesting of the farms fruit crops, and supervising the team daily. With an encouraging and motivating approach to management, the position will manage and monitor the cycle from plant delivery to harvest. Product is supplied to UK retail customers, so standards are high and it is imperative to ensure Health & Safety is maintained whilst meeting expectations.

We require;

Experience in a similar Grower / Growing position, with Soft Fruit crops

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels

Motivating and encouraging staff management, to achieve expectational working standards and product quality

Experience with grower certifications (BRC, Eurepgap, Natures Choice, Assured Produce) & IPM (Integrated Pest Management)
