Our Client is one of the UK’s successful importers and distributors within Fresh Produce, supplying a varied portfolio of products to retail customers, achieving a high standard of product quality and availability across 12 months of the year. We are excited to offer the newly created opportunity of Head of Commercial, to become a fundamental part of the successful supply of product to key UK retailers.
This Senior Commercial opportunity will report to and work closely with the Commercial Director to offer and deliver the highest standard of customer satisfaction. The successful individual will manage dedicated product categories and oversee a team of 4 commercially dedicated individuals.
Oversee the customer dedicated commercial team; guide, develop, and motivate
Build honest and strong relationships with key customer commercial contacts
Manage and develop large product categories with key customers
Oversee the team to ensure commercial expectations are met
Manage pricing, costs, product, and service
Ability to work within a demanding environment, whilst maintaining a high level of customer service and personable team management
Ideally Fresh Produce experience, but Food sector exposure would be considered
Experience gained within a comparable role, having managed key retail accounts
Previous management of a commercial team / function, with a positive approach
