A market leader in their sector, our Client is an established and highly regarded Fresh Produce Supplier to the major retailers and catering & wholesale sectors. We currently offer an excellent opportunity to join the business at an exciting time of growth, to be based at their facility in Essex / North London.
The position of Head of Stock Control and Logistics is to lead the stock control team to deliver their objectives;
Accurate and timely management of all in-bound materials to control consistent flow of goods, preventing over or under loading.
The management and flow of all goods-in, storage, and loading, using locations to maximise space usage and minimise transit times.
Manage the out-bound flow of goods through goods-out into customer vehicles to maintain full customer service at all time.
In addition to this, this position is responsible for the flow, capture, and management of all data within the team, using this data to create high value insight.
Key responsibilities:
Leading, developing, and managing the Stock Control team
Delivering an accurate, well planned stock management system throughout the site
Actively manage stock data, using the data to create insights to improve performance
Overseeing all produce and non-produce stock movement and allocation to maximise value
Advise and inform the procurement team of all issues as they arise with pragmatic solutions
Oversee in-bound and out-bound transport to manage flow to prevent over capacity situations
We require;
Strong team management experience
Exposure to a similar Fresh Produce facility or Fresh Food Production retail environment
Experience gained in a Stock Control / Inventory / Logistics role with a clear understanding of the flow and movement of stock
This role is working as part of the management team and requires a ‘hands on’ approach in a fast-paced, perishable environment
Hours: Monday to Friday
Location: Essex / North London
Salary; up to £60k DOE
