Overview

We have the privilege of recruiting on behalf of a successful and ever-expanding leader within the Fresh Produce sector, who supply a varied portfolio of products to retail customers, achieving a high standard of product quality and availability across 12 months of the year.

 

We offer the opportunity of Junior Buyer to become part of the commercial team to work with suppliers to build key relationships to procure a variety of Fresh Produce.

Responsibilities include;

Build relationships and work closely with suppliers and internal teams

Maintain market knowledge and present new product lines & suppliers

Negotiate product prices, gaining & maintaining the highest profit margins

Work with and support the buying / procurement team to achieve the most effective and efficient unit

 

We require;
Graduate with relevant Degree / Qualification; Purchasing / Buying, Supply Chain, Business

Experience within a commercial / buying / procurement / supply chain focused position

Ability to build key relationships, influencing and negotiating

Fresh Produce / Food / FMCG exposure advantageous

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Languages would be highly advantageous

 

Ability to travel; UK & abroad as and when required

 

Location; South East / Kent
Salary; Up to £26k – dependent on experience
