Overview

Reporting to the Senior Trading Manager, this Trainee Trader role will work closely with the Trading Manager to support and ensure the effective daily trading of Fresh Produce to Wholesale and Foodservice customers in the UK.

This opportunity will work to trade fresh produce products across an impressive portfolio of fruit and salad products, with a focus on wholesale customers. With great scope for customer portfolio management, development and expansion, the successful individual will gain new accounts and continue to develop & grow accounts that are established. The position will negotiate pricing/tenders, manage customer expectations and work closely with internal teams to promote & strengthen the company’s market position.

We require;

At least 1 years’ experience within Fresh Produce trading, preferably Salads and/or Fruit products
Excellent communication skills with a confident, professional and commercial approach
Driven, passionate, and able to achieve targets in a fast-paced environment
Commercial management success, with motivation to succeed
Excellent relationship building ability

This position will work within the highly motivated commercial and procurement team in the office Monday – Friday, with trading hours required on a Saturday morning to gain the most effective and competitive position within the market.

Location; Kent

Salary; £25-35k DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday 6 / 7am – finish, weekends on call on a rota basis
