Overview
Our Client is a leading Importer and Supplier of Fresh Produce to a wide portfolio of customers. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Logistics Manager on their behalf to join the business in this key position.
The successful Logistics Manager will take responsibility for the UK Logistics function, working within the Commercial Operations team to ensure;
Management and regular review of UK logistics providers, ensuring the best possible prices and service levels are achieved
Effective and positive relationships are built & maintained with 3rd party logistic providers and freight forwarders
Work with colleagues to drive efficiencies and ensure effective processes are utilised
Ensure all suppliers work in accordance with legislation and company policies
Manage and authorise all agreements & invoices for UK logistic services
We require;
Experience in a similar Logistics management position, working with UK hauliers and logistic providers
Exposure to FMCG / Fresh Produce / Food sectors highly advantageous
Experience of working effectively and positively within a team
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, achieving targets
Location; South East / Kent
Hours; Monday – Friday
Salary; up to £45k
