Overview

Our Client is one of the UK’s largest Importers and Distributors in their sector within the Fruit Industry, supplying a variety of customers nationwide, including the major retailers. We now offer an excellent opportunity for a Packaging Coordinator / Packaging Buyer to join the business.

Reporting to the Head of Packaging, the position of Packaging Coordinator / Buyer will become part of a dedicated team to ensure the efficient procurement of all packaging for an allocated retail customer, to ensure all growers are able to meet expected requirements and deadlines.

Responsibilities include;

Manage supplier relationships, providing forecasts to ensure efficient supply of required stock

Work with growers to identify and procure packaging requirements

Manage invoicing and order reconciliation and ensure accuracy

Design and format overprint designs inhouse

Assist with stock checks as required

We require;
Food / Fresh Produce sector exposure advantageous

Experience in a Packaging focused procurement / buying position

Ability to communicate at all levels, working professionally with customers and suppliers

Strong IT skills, with the ability to generate forecasts, reports and create inhouse overprint designs

Location: Kent
Hours: Monday – Friday. 9.00am – 5.00pm

Salary; £24-27k – dependent on experience
