A market leader in their sector, our Client is an established and highly successful Fresh Produce service provider, working with an exciting portfolio of products that are destined for the UK retailers. We are currently seeking an addition to the Supply Chain team as Packaging Development Manager to strengthen their position with retail customers at an exciting time of expansion.
This senior Packaging Development Manager role will lead on the delivery and project management of appropriate packaging solutions and the development and delivery of innovative packaging solutions, in alignment with suppliers and external stakeholders. You will be at the forefront of development and identification of new packaging solutions to deliver against sustainability commitments.
Responsibilities will include;
Management of supply base; working closely to build strong relationships, ensure required accreditations, identify new innovation & technologies, and work to gain the most cost effective, high quality products
Management of NPD/Development for retail customers across packaging (UK & abroad); new, existing, redesign, launches
Manage projects; working towards full recyclable packaging, meeting deadlines set
We require;
Passion about packaging, innovation and strategy
We are looking for an individual who can own & drive the strategy and implementation of emerging packaging technology platforms across the business.
BSc degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Technology or other relevant technical discipline with extensive experience within FMCG packaging development & innovation.
A proven track record in managing ‘new to category’ packaging technologies, including the creation, development and delivery of ownable structural and functional consumer impactful packaging innovations, resulting in notable commercial impact and sustainability benefit.
Location: Kent
Salary: Up to £80k
Hours: Monday – Friday
