Overview

Our Client is a dynamic, fast-paced Fresh Produce processor supplying a variety of customers, inducing the major retailers with expectational products.  We now offer the opportunity to join the business in an initial 14 month contract role as Procurement Manager.

In a pivotal role, the successful Procurement Manager will work across an allocated Fruit category – Stone Fruit to ensure required stock levels are available, with the sole responsibility for procurement and working to achieve strong relationships with a worldwide grower base.

Being one step ahead, working closely and regularly with suppliers to be at the forefront of market knowledge, aware of market conditions, product quality & availability, and any other factors that may impact the supply of product.

With management of forecasting, tendering, costs, and budgets being key to success in this position, the ability to work numerically, analytically, and communicate at all levels is crucial.

We require;

Global Procurement / Buying experience of Fresh Produce, Stone Fruit is essential

Supplier management and development ability

Personable communication approach

Commercial and Financial acumen

European language advantageous

Flexibility to travel as required

Confident negotiation skills

Hours; Monday – Friday, with flexibility

Salary; Competitive salary offered & reflective of experience
