Our Client is passionate about Fresh Produce and successfully supply a high standard of product to the UK retailers. We currently offer an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Planning / Stock Control Manager to join the business at an exciting time of growth. This role will support the Head of Procurement in the strategic and operational aspects of the procurement function.
The position of Procurement Planning / Stock Control Manager will work in a fast-paced fresh produce environment to ensure all aspects of the raw material, stock and the supply chain are efficient and meeting the standard required. Working as part of an energetic and passionate team, effective communication is fundamental.
Responsibilities include;
Running the stock control system daily; verifying supply orders + any top-ups, and raising & discussing any issues with relevant Buyers
Positive team management across all commercial administrative tasks and planning activities on-site; driving accuracy, productivity, and performance
Managing any raw material issues / rejections and arranging stock replacement to ensure customer orders are met and high customer satisfaction is achieved
Manage and support the analysis of sales / financial data, to include product specific information enabling the presentation and positive use for procurement purposes
Monitor Fresh Produce stock levels to ensure daily raw material stock levels meet customer orders, and scheduling raw material arrivals to meet factory needs, identifying and resolving any stock issues promptly and efficiently
We require;
Ability to positively manage a small team
Fresh Produce / Food / FMCG sector exposure
Experience across procurement / planning / forecasting / stock control
Knowledge of product supply to retail, across the supply chain process
Excellent IT & Numeracy skills, the ability to use systems, spreadsheets, and multitask is key
Location; North Kent
Hours; 5-day week – (Sunday to Thursdays)
Salary; up to £50k – dependent on experience + Benefits
