Overview
We have the privilege of working with an established and ever expanding Fresh Produce Group, who are a leader in their sector, supplying UK and European Retail customers with Fresh, High Quality products.
We currently offer an exciting opportunity as Product Specialist / Quality Trainer to become part of the quality team in a key position, working with growers & customers to build strong relationships, drive the quality agenda and work closely with Product Managers to ensure quality is maintained across the site.
Key responsibilities include;
Ensure the Intake & Packhouse Quality Controllers / QC’s have a full understanding of the quality and customer standards expected
Assist & mentor the quality team at all stages on, intake inspection, finished product, online paperwork checks, using the relevant software
Oversee and mentor the quality team on inspections in accordance with the company coding system, specifications, tolerances and set Quality Control procedures
We require;
Experience gained within a quality control / quality assurance position held previously
Fresh Produce knowledge and an understanding of product quality requirements for retail customers
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and make decisions under pressure
Confident and personable team training / supervisory / mentoring approach
IT Literate; intermediate level in Excel / Word
Train the Trainer highly beneficial
Full driving licence
Location; Cambridgeshire
Salary; up to £30k, dependent on experience
NIGHT SHIFT; Average of 40 hours per week
