We have the privilege of recruiting on behalf of an innovative business, who are a leader in their sector, supplying UK and European Retail customers with Fresh, High Quality products. We offer the exciting opportunity to join their growing business and a dedicated operations department who are focused on providing the highest level of product quality, meeting customer schedules and expectations.

The position of Production Shift Manager is a fantastic opportunity for a confident leader to become a key member of the production team on the night shift to ensure product is packed to meet deadlines and budgetary constraints. With the effective management of the team on shift, this position is fundamental to achieve a successful customer focused packing operation.

Responsibilities include;
The management of; operations, efficiencies, staff / people planning and departmental budget

Supportive and motivating management approach, identifying areas of improvement

Collaborate with operations and planning colleagues to ensure stock availability

Achieve operational targets, whilst adhering to procedures

Incorporate Lean Manufacturing techniques

Manage staff rotas, holidays, disciplinaries

We require;

Experience in a FMCG environment, with Fresh Produce exposure highly advantageous

Expectational people management ability, with an approachable and positive manner

Production management experience in a labour intensive environment

Confident ability with warehouse management systems; Rubicon pref.

Ability to meet deadlines, KPI’s and work under pressure

Manage the audit process to BRC standards

Hours; Night-shift – 4 on 4 off; 19.00 – 07.30

Salary; £40-43k; dependent on experience
Location: Cambridgeshire
