Our Client is one of the UK’s largest Importers and Distributors in their sector within the Food Industry, supplying a variety of customers nationwide, including the major retailers. We now offer the opportunity to join the business in an initial 9-12 months contract role as QA Manager, with the potential to become a permanent member of the Technical team going forward.
Reporting to the Technical Director, the position of QA Manager will take responsibility for managing and developing the quality assurance team; c8 members, offering a high standard of product quality across the business, meeting customer expectations & company standards.
Working closely with the technical and commercial teams, the successful individual will ensure they have driven & motivated staff, and achieve the most effective way of achieving value & reducing waste.
This opportunity requires a motivated individual who understands the need to supply consistent quality to achieve customer satisfaction & compliance with quality systems & procedures.
Leading and motivating the team, the successful individual will be hands-on, and ensure consistent high performance is achieved through KPI management on a daily basis.
Food / Fresh Produce / FMCG sector experience
Experience gained managing and motivating a Quality / QA team
Knowledge of Product Quality standards expected in the supply to retail customers
Effective communication skills, internally, externally, and at all levels with a positive approach
Strong IT skills; MS packages, with SAP experience being highly advantageous
Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise, and have excellent attention to detail
Salary; c£40k, dependent on experience
