Our Client is an established and highly successful Fresh Produce Importer with key relationships with the major retailers. We currently offer the opportunity of Technical Manager to become an integral part of the site based technical team and work with a key retail customer daily.
Reporting to and working alongside the Technical Director, the position of Technical Manager will work with a key retail customer, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure product quality meets customer specification and all product meets company and customer policy requirements for product safety, quality, and legality.
Manage customer & supplier technical / quality visits and audits, meeting BRC, Organic, F2F food standards
Ensure all product is used effectively and efficiently to maximise profit for the business
Maintain the company QMS and ensure that they are “Audit ready” at all times
Monitor and report any issues that compromise customer specifications
On boarding new customers and growers; maintaining SEDEX sites
Ensure Food Safety onsite through application of HACCP principles
Work closely to build strong relationships with key customers
Exposure to and knowledge of retail customers expectations and standards
Knowledge of Quality & Technical protocols within Fresh Produce
Experience gained in a Quality / Technical Management position
BRC, HACCP, Food Safety and 3rd party Audits
