Overview

We offer a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant, successful grower and supplier of Fresh Produce, who supply first class product to a buoyant customer base, to include the retail arena. We require an experienced Technical Manager to join the business in a key position, taking responsibility for and driving forward the quality and technical performance.

Reporting to Director level and working closely with colleagues across all departments, the position of Technical Manager will manage all legislative, technical codes of practise, Food Safety and Quality Management systems, and show passion for product quality at the highest level. Managing a dedicated team with encouragement and development at the forefront, the position requires a hands-on, approachable, and supportive person.

Key responsibilities include;

HACCP management

Positive team management

Undertake BRC Farm Assurance Audits

Ensure product quality meets expectations

Supplier and Customer contact, visiting both when required

Manage, implement, and continuously improve Quality, Technical, and Health & Safety policies and procedures

We require;

Experience in a similar Technical Management / Fresh Produce Technologist position

Knowledge of due diligence, internal auditing, and quality database management

Fresh Produce knowledge and exposure is key to success in this position

Ability to work in fast paced environment and maintain accuracy

Confident BRC, HACCP, Red Tractor knowledge

Organised, methodical, and proactive approach

A high level of communication skills

Confident IT skills

Location:  Hertfordshire border

Salary: £35-45k
