Overview
Our Client is a highly successful, family-run Fresh Produce and Ingredients supplier, working with key UK retailers, wholesalers to accompany direct supply to consumers, chefs, and home cooks. We have the privilege of recruiting the exciting position of Quality Technologist on their behalf.
The Quality Technologist will work closely with the Site Technical Manager to ensure a high level of product safety and product quality to meet legal, customer, and 3rd party requirements. This is a fantastic Quality Technologist / Technical Assistant opportunity that would be suited to an individual currently working within the Fresh Produce sector, who is now seeking their next position for continued growth within a technical career.
Responsibilities will include;
Implement and manage the QMS to ensure the factory is audit ready at al times
Support HACCP/TACCP Teams and QMS review as requested
Promote CI via internal audit & customer complaints reviews
Assess product to ensure compliance to specification
Manage site compliance to BRC food standards
Complete finished product shelf life testing
We require;
Experience in the Fresh Produce / Food sector is paramount
Confident knowledge gained from a similar quality / technical position
Understanding of HACCP, Food Safety, Quality and Compliance standards
Food Safety Level 3 and an internal Auditing qualification being advantageous
The ability to work effectively in a small team, build sound relationships, and invest in the long term business goal is imperative.
Hours: Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, working 6.00am – 2:30pm.
Salary; £27k – dependent on experience level offered
